Deze Innocenti 1001 uit 1973 is een zeldzame vondst in uitzonderlijke staat. Gevonden in het hart van Montepulciano, een prachtige stad midden in Toscane.

We hebben de auto gekocht van Francesco, een echte liefhebber van klassieke auto’s en hartchirurg. Hij zegt dat het nog steeds een ‘first-owner' auto is, omdat hij er alleen voor heeft gezorgd en haar nooit heeft gebruikt!

De auto is uitstekend onderhouden door Francesco, met een volledige respray 10 jaar geleden in de originele Castoro Brown, gecombineerd met een Old English White dak. In de afgelopen 2 à 3 jaar zijn de technische onderdelen aangepakt: een gereviseerde carburateur, nieuwe remmen, een nieuwe snaar en zelfs een engine-out job om de aandrijfashoezen en keerringen van de versnellingsbak te vervangen.

De carrosserie is volledig origineel en verkeert in een ongekend goede staat. Zelfs als je haar op het dak zou leggen, zou ze nog net zo indrukwekkend zijn.

De auto staat op 10-inch aluminium velgen, opnieuw gespoten en voorzien van rallybanden. Het interieur bevat een origineel MOMO-stuurwiel, een houten pookknop, een dashboard met drie klokken en alle typerende Innocenti-details. De stoelen verkeren in uitstekende staat en het geheel straalt klassieke Italiaanse luxe uit.

Motorspecificaties:
De 998cc-motor met de 12G295 cilinderkop en D-top zuigers staat bekend als een van de beste motorconfiguraties in zijn klasse. Dit is dezelfde motor als in de Cooper Mk2 998, en met wat kleine aanpassingen is ze eenvoudig naar meer dan 60 pk te brengen!

Innocenti 1001 Castoro BrownThis 1973 Innocenti 1001 is a rare find in an exceptional condition. Found in the heart of Montepulciano, a beautiful town right in the heart of Tuscany.
We bought the car from Fransesco, a true classic car lover and heart surgeon. He says it is still a ‘one’ owner car as he only took care of her, not used it!
The care has been quite thoroughly with a full respray 10 years ago in the original Castoro brown together with an old english white roof, last 2 to 3 years the technical bits got overhauled with a revised carb, new brakes, belts and even an engine out job to do the rubbers of the driveshafts and gearbox seals.
The body is completely original and in unseen condition. If you were to flip her over, she would still be just as impressive.
The car features 10-inch aluminum wheels, repainted and fitted with rally tires. The interior includes a genuine MOMO steering wheel, wooden gear knob, 3 clock binnacle and all the other innconti bits as could be found here. The seats are in great shape, and the overall feel is that of classic Italian luxury.
Engine Specifications:As detailed in this (visible on our website) article, the 998cc engine with the 12G295 cylinder head and D-topped pistons is one of the most exciting engine combinations available. It’s the same engine found in the Cooper Mk2 998, and with just a little work, it’s easy to push it beyond 60 horsepower!
