The history of this car begins in 1977 when it was delivered from the Sindelfingen factory with the German country code. It was bought as a demo car by Tugboat Billionaire Arthur Riedel from Portland, OR, USA. He really wanted a 6.9, but in EU specifications without a restricted engine. He cherished and maintained the car until his death in 2016. Many invoices and a comprehensive maintenance record are available.
In 2016, the car came into my possession. It was shipped to Holland and cleared customs. It was an unaltered, unmodified German 6.9 model with only 160,000 original kilometers. Absolutely no rust. The car is unmolested and unwelded. The car was dry ice blasted and repainted in the original Astral Silver color. The suspension, air conditioning, brakes, and power steering were completely overhauled. Major inspection was done and all fluids were replaced. The transmission was flushed. The interior is original but refurbished to mint condition, and many new parts were installed without consideration of cost - such as the original XWX tires. The result is a rock-solid and impressively original vehicle with lots invested. It is a flawless, original car where everything works, with a complete history. It is unaltered and perfect. It comes with 2 keys and a comprehensive booklet with invoices, history, and original documents. No maintenance backlog. All documents are also scanned digitally for optimal preservation.
