La storia di questa Jaguar S-type 3.8 inizia a Milano nel Maggio del 1966 quando l'auto venne acquistata dall'azienda Virgilio Rimoldi Spa, specializzata nella costruzione di macchine da cucire. Dopo 6 anni l'auto passa nelle mani del secondo proprietario, poi al terzo nel 1987 ed al quarto nel 1991, tutti residenti a Milano. Nel 2019 l'auto è passata all'attuale proprietario che ha continuato a mantenere la vettura con estrema cura ed attenzione come i suoi predecessori.

Il colore Sabbia dorata metallizzato è sicuramente stato rinfrescato negli anni, mentre gli interni in pelle blu, pur presentando i segni del tempo, appaiono ben armonizzati con lo stile britannico dell'auto. Allo stesso modo, anche i legni del cruscotto e delle portiere si presentano con una patina affascinante.

L'auto monta il motore 3.8, il più potente tra i due disponibili all'epoca, abbinato al cambio manuale a quattro rapporti con overdrive ed al servosterzo Burman, optional dell'epoca. Nei primi anni venne installato l'impianto di aria condizionata, tutt'ora perfettamente funzionante, così come la radio Autovox dei primi anni '80.

La S-type rappresenta la via di mezzo tra la Mk2 e la Mark X: le dimensioni generose unitamente al retrotreno dotato di sospensioni indipendenti rappresentano le principali caratteristiche di questa berlina britannica, rara da reperire in Italia in queste condizioni, ancora con le sue targhe originali.

Presente la borsa attrezzi originale e completa, così come numerosi ricambi, tra cui il volante originale, e vari accessori a corredo. Auto iscritta ASI, visibile previo appuntamento a Bologna.

The history of this Jaguar S-type 3.8 begins in Milan in May 1966 when the car was purchased by the company "Virginio Rimoldi Spa", specialized in the construction of sewing machines. After 6 years the car passed into the hands of the second owner, then the third in 1987 and the fourth in 1991, all from Milan. In 2019 the car passed to the current owner who continued to maintain the car with extreme care and attention like its predecessors.

The Opalescent Golden Sand color has certainly been refreshed over the years, while the blue leather interior, while showing signs of age, appears well harmonized with the car's British style. Likewise, the woods of the dashboard and doors also present a charming patina.
​
The car is equipped with the 3.8 engine, the most powerful of the two available at the time, combined with a four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive and Burman power steering, an option of the time. In the early years, the air conditioning system was installed, which is still in perfect working order, as was the Autovox radio from the early 1980s.
​
The S-type represents the middle ground between the Mk2 and the Mark X: the generous dimensions together with the rear end equipped with independent suspension represent the main characteristics of this British sedan, rare to find in Italy in these conditions, still with its original license plates.

The original and complete tool bag is present, as well as numerous spare parts, including the original steering wheel, and various accessories supplied. ASI registered car, visible by appointment in Bologna.
