The F430 was the successor to the brand's most successful Ferrari to date, evolving in key areas such as ease of use, comfort and maintenance costs. The is a step up in terms of quality, whereas the new 4.3-liter Tipo 136 engine increased power by 90 hp, offering performances that still impress today. The debut of the manettino is a hallmark of the F430, introducing an element that quickly became iconic in modern Ferraris. The evolutionary design was carried out by Pininfarina in partnership with Frank Stephenson and pays homage to the 1961 F156 F1, traditionally called the ‘sharknose’. The F430 was widely praised by the press and customers for its exceptional dynamics and the ease with which it extracts all the performance from the engine, with the essential help of the new e-Diff differential developed in racing.
A fundamental element in this unit is the presence of the manual gearbox, which completely transforms the F430 and offers an interaction with the driver that no other model can compete with. Production of manual cars is estimated at 7% of total F430 producton, or around 1000 units.
The Ferrari F430 presented here was originally sold in Germany and is currently registered in Portugal, having been imported and maintained by NZN, the country’s leading Ferrari specialist since its registration in the country.
In addition to the manual gearbox, it is specified in Rosso Scuderia, a colour created by Scuderia Ferrari at the days of Michael Schumacher. The full black leather cabin and the carbon pack give it an openly sporty image. The excellent steel brakes contribute not only to a more intuitive driving experience, but minimize the risk of high future costs as well.
