De Ferrari 458 Speciale
In lijn van de 430 Scuderia en diens voorganger, de 360 Challenge Stradale introduceerde Ferrari in 2013 de 458 Speciale. Deze lichtgewicht versie op basis van de 458 Italia was direct een groot succes. De auto werd voorzien van andere carrosseriepanelen en een sterkere motor. In het interieur werd veelvuldig gebruik gemaakt van lichtere materialen als Carbon Fibre en Alcantara. Al het "overbodige" gewicht werd uit de 458 gehaald waarmee 458 Speciale lichter was dan de 458 Italia. De aerodynamica is op verschillende punten verder verbeterd of geoptimaliseerd voor de ultieme prestaties op de openbare weg en het circuit. De Ferrari 458 Speciale is onderdeel van de Ferrari “Special Series” en is daardoor beperkt geproduceerd.
