Possibly the best of only five 200 Avants left in the UK, possibly in right hand drive full stop. This cars first owner was Mrs Haynes of Haynes Manuals here in the UK. It was recommissioned after a decade off road in around 2013, and the 137k miles are believed to be fully genuine, with the car coming with two folders of documentation and a full service record. Including cam belt and coolant pump 3.5 years ago. Underside restoration carried out, alongside bodywork which has been repainted. It has also had a fabric correct headlining replacement including sunroof fabric.
The photos speak for themselves, some of the faithful accessories added during my ownership are: genuine Votex Centra wheels, refurbished and new centre caps engineered, genuine luggage cover sourced and fitted, and a Blaupunkt Bremen remake stereo.
Every feature of this car works as it should, including cruise, A/C, Climate control, electric seats, vacuum central locking, trip computer, centre and rear differential locks. It is garaged and always connected to a battery conditioner (11 year old 12v battery recently replaced).
The car has wanted for nothing in my near 4 year ownership. It is always warmed up carefully and serviced yearly irrespective of mileage. 1.4-5 bar boost pressure reading on dash under load. There are boxes of spares which will come with the car, including original wheels and all original orange light lens. Also complete with the car, are all of the original manuals, alongside a UK 200 press pack, and all brochures from the original model year of release. I also have an original and complete Westfalia detachable tow bar kit which I have not managed to fit.
There are no stone chips or cracks in the lighting, and all glass lens’ are PPF’d for protection.
Inspection welcome. The car also featured in Classic and Sports Car in 2023, the electronic version is available via a Google search.
